ABOUT US
Pelergy exists to catalyse the energy transition, both green and blue, as we move offshore. Building new technologies in harsh environments requires an innovative approach to project development and operation and that is what we specialise in. Pelergy is a specialist onshore and offshore wind energy business and innovation firm. We offer both advisory services and undertake development of our own products with partners. We work on technologies that will significantly advance the renewable energy industry. We innovate energy.
THE TEAM
Our team has experience in a broad range of wind energy technologies from construction to operations in maintenance, both onshore and offshore. We also have experience delivering business development, project development, HSE and financial support services for asset owners.
Mike has a successful track record in developing products and services in the offshore wind industry, having leveraged over £10m investment for technologies over 14 years in the sector. He currently develops new products for the offshore wind industry while providing advisory services to high tech startups through to large corporates. He has written a number of influential public reports on offshore wind, including the Cost Reduction Monitoring Framework 2015. Mike also advises UK government departments on innovation and inward investment strategy for offshore renewable energy and co-manages the Offshore Wind innovation eXchange (OWiX).
Martins supports with market making activities and onshore wind brokerage services throughout Eastern Europe. Martins has more than 18 years of experience in the financial sector. He specialised early in lending for maritime assets and energy, building a successful portfolio of more than $600m USD. He has worked with stakeholders such as UK legal firms, Ship registrars in Belize, ship builders in China and renewable energy consulting companies in New York and Frankfurt. He has also worked on financing of renewable energy companies.
Having worked across different fields of the renewable energy sector, she has a strong comprehension of planning, policy and development of renewable energy projects. She started her career working for a consultancy in Brussels, working on clean energy related projects. Later she joined RenewableUK where she represented the small and medium scale onshore industry. Indre also worked in the UK solar industry, helping her clients through different stages of project development. Indre has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and BSc in Ecology from Klaipeda University in Lithuania. She has also completed an International Law course at Harvard University.
Max has more than twenty years’ experience in offshore wind, wave and tidal energy projects. He developed an O&M financial and availability model for offshore wind projects to compare the economics of different sites to assist project developers in making bids for Contracts for Difference under the UK's allocation rounds. He developed a tool called 'OMNI Offshore' to compare turbine intervention rates on different offshore wind sites. He sits on the UK’s Renewable Energy Association policy board where he is Chair of the Innovation/Ocean Energy Group. Max also has a long track record in fund raising from private investors, government and commercial partners (>£70m raised), securing customers including E.ON, Iberdrola/Scottish Power Renewables, Babcock & Brown and creating joint ventures with Vattenfall and EDP for offshore renewables projects.
Rich works at senior level with companies across the transition to renewable energy providing consultancy, non-executive support, and project management support. He has 36 years’ experience in industry / manufacturing, much of it at senior level in an international environment - with the last 13 years full-time in renewable energy.
He led the UK & Ireland business of a major turbine OEM for 5 years, leading them to and through a period of rapid and profitable growth to an installed base of over 2GW. During this time, he also chaired RenewableUK’s onshore wind policy forum and sat on the board of the Irish Wind Energy Association (now Wind Energy Ireland). This followed four years of leading their project management / construction team in UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.
Maf has 20 years experience in energy and sustainable development with a focus on offshore wind. He has a strategic approach to supporting businesses understand and grow their presence in the market. He makes use of data, industry trends and a wide contact network to do this.
Maf has an established ability to engage with Government, Parliament and Regulatory Bodies in support of renewable energy deployment. He has experience of running and growing businesses and use of strategic and business planning.
Maf is the Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons’ Environmental Audit Committee, as well as Vice Chair of the Global Wind Energy Council’s Floating Offshore Wind Taskforce.
Steve has 20 years’ experience in business strategy, including senior leadership positions in companies in the offshore energy industry, predominantly offshore wind. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer (CEng) with three Masters degrees including an International MBA and additional qualifications in Contract Law.
Experienced executive with P&L responsibility, overseeing commercial operations, sales strategies, and customer relationships to drive business growth and revenue generation in engineering and manufacturing businesses.
Steve is currently supporting a European investment group grow from €66m EURO wind energy service business to €200m+ EURO in 5 years. Steve also has experience with floating offshore wind companies on the UK stock market and various M&A activity in the sector, with a particular specialism in engineering and manufacturing businesses.
Alan Duncan has held senior management global roles with multinational entities for over twenty years and has spent the
last twelve years working with key public and private entities across all tiers of the offshore wind supply chain.
Track-record of delivering work for a North American business enabling entity delivering offshore wind market training and strategic positioning advice to public authorities and supply chain companies within a market targeting 30GW by 2030
